Colon Cleanse Review - Power Colon Cleanse

By Peter Wood

Power Colon Cleanse is a colon cleanse product that seems to mimic many of the other products on the market. Not so much in the product itself, but in the way it is marketed. It also seems as though it may be a newer product. This review will first look at the product itself and then focus on the company that supplies and markets the product.

Unfortunately, Power Colon Cleanse doesn't give me much information to judge the the product itself. Nowhere on their one page website do they actually list the ingredients found in Power Colon Cleanse. It's highly likely that it contains most fiber since almost all colon cleansers do. But will it be effective? Maybe yes, maybe no. At any rate, it doesn't lend much credibility to the company.

Like many other sites like theirs, Power Colon Cleanse has posted logos of credible news stations in hopes that you'll quickly assume that the product was somehow endorsed by those stations. There is also the attempt to make it appear as though it is endorsed on Oprah. See my full review for screenshots and details about this commonly used marketing tactic.

Power Colon Cleanse made one claim that I hadn't seen before. It claims that it has already sold more than 3 million bottles through retails stores. I thought it was interesting since I originally thought that it was a new product. I searched and searched on the net and didn't find any evidence at all that suggested that it has ever been sold through retail channels. My conclusion? It's a false claim to add some perceived credibility.

So how are Power Colon Cleanse's sales practices? Not good. On their site, you'll first notice that they offer a free trial of the product. What they don't make obvious is that in the fine print it explains that if you order a free trial you are automatically enrolled in the autoship program. This means that if you don't call and cancel the autoship within 14 days, they will charge you $75.95 every month for new shipments. This is a classic scam that is getting more popular every day.

When researching the company behind the product, I was unable to mind very detailed information about Power Cleanse, Inc. The BBB didn't have any report for them at all. This may be due to possibility of it being somewhat of a newer company. The complaint boards did prove to be helpful, however, when I found a complaint about having difficulty reaching the company after having the unexpected charges hit his credit card.

In summary, it appears that Power Colon Cleanse is much less concerned with providing a quality product (or tell you anything about what is actually in the product) than it is about getting your credit card information so it can start racking up the charges. They hide the details of the autoship in their fine print where most will order without even noticing that it's there. There are many other good products out there that are produced by reputable companies. I suggest you go with one of them. - 23802
