This movie is a much awaited sequel to the first movie and had been adopted for screenplay from the fourth book in the series of sisterhood books. The four friends America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel and Blake Lively in the first part of the movie are teens transforming into adults.
