Occassions For Exchanging Eternity Rings

We can ideally say that eternity rings have been a popular ritual in many parts of the world for a long time. For centuries, people have exchanged rings as a symbol of relationship and special bonding, whether through friends, lovers, relatives and associates. The Egyptians actually practiced ring exchange and were some of the first people to make and wear them.

A ring is usually comprised of a continuous circle of metal embedded with either important writing or a precious stone. Rings have always symbolised love and friendship. No much has changed since rings first appeared on the scene in human history The circular appearance unbroken circle actually symbolises the inseparable nature of the newly forged friendship or relationship.

Rings are still used today are more or less the same reasons that they were used earlier on in history. One of the reasons why eternity rings were given was friendship. While boys can be said to also exchange rings for one reasons or other, exchanging rings is really something that is done mostly by women.

But men to give rings to women and this is a very common practice especially where one is engaged to be married. Girls are also fond of exchanging rings especially after the end of a school period and they are graduating. This is because most good friends will usually be separating.

During an engagement to be married, rings are also exchanged and this is a very common practice worldwide. An engagement is one of the most memorable moments of one's life. This is because an engagement usually precedes a marriage. To many, the wedding day is as magical as it is sentimental. It is not uncommon for men to spend hundreds of dollars on a ring for the woman they love. It is not the practice of women to give rings to men during engagement but they do buy rings for their grooms during the actual wedding.

Rings are also exchange during, you guessed it, weddings. During this time, both the man and the woman exchange eternity rings which may range from tens of dollars to sometimes millions depending on who is involved in the wedding. It is true the heart is what matters and there is no right or wrong material for an eternity ring. But while this is true, people continue to insist that their rings come in gold, diamond, silver, bronze, ivory and even precious rubies.

Even people with low incomes stretch themselves to purchase wedding rings worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars. This is because of the belief that the more expensive the ring, the more it symbolises closeness.

Parents and children also exchange rings especially when one of them is leaving. This can be to a war, another job, to be married, on a extended business trip and the like. Children also give rings to their parents for the same reasons. This is because both parties want to be remembered and to remember the other even they are apart and hence the eternity rings. - 23802
